The 2CV was the reply to the wishes of the Citroën Chairman who requested “4 wheels under an umbrella” which “loaded with eggs, can cross a ploughed field, without breaking a single egg”. That‘s exactly what he did one day in front of the cameras! So successful was this car that the delivery period reached 6 years in 1950.
